Project Y Teaser Unveils Han So Hee & Jeon Jong Seo’s Bold Heist Adventure in 2025

The upcoming Korean crime film Project Y has just dropped its first teaser and poster, sparking excitement among movie fans. Starring Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo, this stylish heist drama promises high-stakes action, fierce friendship, and a thrilling ride through Seoul’s elite Gangnam district.

Two Friends, One Daring Plan

Project Y follows Mi Seon (Han So Hee) and Do Kyung (Jeon Jong Seo), lifelong friends who have only each other to rely on. Facing crushing hardships and desperate for a way out, the duo hatches a daring scheme — to steal 8 billion won (around $5.79 million) in gold bars and disappear without a trace.

The first poster instantly hooks viewers with a cinematic nighttime shot of the pair walking confidently through the city. Do Kyung hides under a low-slung cap, while Mi Seon’s vigilant gaze scans the streets. Their edgy, colorful outfits pop against the dark backdrop, perfectly reflecting the film’s slick and rebellious tone. The tagline — “The plan was perfect” — teases an unpredictable and dangerous journey.

Adrenaline in Every Frame

The newly released trailer captures the film’s intense energy. As the two women prepare for the heist, Do Kyung declares, “If we’re doing this, we’re going all in.” Mi Seon answers with unshakable fire, saying, “Let’s go f**ing hard.”*

Fast-paced editing, roaring car chases, and gritty action sequences fill the screen, promising audiences a pulse-pounding experience. The teaser’s closing line — “Two accomplices. One shot. No regrets.” — perfectly encapsulates the fearless spirit of this buddy-crime thriller.

A Strong Supporting Cast

Backing up the lead duo is a powerhouse supporting cast. Kim Shin Rok plays Ga Young, a senior figure who guides Mi Seon and Do Kyung through the dangerous world they’ve stepped into. Jung Young Joo undergoes a dramatic transformation, sporting a shaved head for her role as Hwang So.

Lee Jae Kyoon appears as Seok Gu, a wildcard who disrupts the meticulous heist plan, while Kim Sung Cheol brings intensity to the role of Boss To, a ruthless villain standing in their way.

Global Premiere and Release

Project Y is set for its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival before hitting theaters in Korea. With its stylish visuals, adrenaline-pumping action, and electric chemistry between Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Korean releases of 2025.

Fans can expect a slick blend of friendship, crime, and high-octane thrills when Project Y lands on the big screen.
